Despues De 25 Anos

For the English Version, click here En Ingles, click aqui

Número uno, después de 25 años dijo

Que tomó 25 años para llegar allí.
Ellos ganaron.

Un aliento extra.
Un momento extra.
Un pensamiento adicional.
Una persona.

Muchas personas cometen errores.

Me alegro. Soy feliz.
Espero contribuido.
Espero que he contribuido, por decir algo.
He dicho, detener el uso de drogas.
Lo dije en serio.

Como siempre, me cuesta.
Siempre me cuesta.
I stand alone.

Congrats a triángulo Trueno.

Felicitaciones.

She cried, she cried heavily.
She cried yesterday; yesterday was 3/28/18.
Her skin changed.
All her might she used to cry.
It was heartbreaking.
It was a parent’s nightmare.

The corner.  All her buddies were there.  Sales were good.
She went out as always, back by the afternoon.
Tyron was killed there last week.  Another driver by.
Blood still fresh from Laquisha.
Some parent is proud.  Their child died with honor.

Early in the morning, she was out with her friends, on the streets.
Carla, Stephanie, Shyland, and others.
They were making their money.
They were shaking their booty.
The average price for a date, $20.00.  Service with a smile if you have teeth.

She goes out everyday, to the corner.

She wants to learn.
She is very smart.
I am very proud.
I want the best for her.
So, like every parent, I send her out everyday to the corners and the streets.

The streets are the hallways.  The corners are the classrooms.  The city is Zebulon GT Magnet Middle School.
She cried, why, because again she is being messed with.
Why I asked?
Because I try to do my work. I stay to myself.  I had my headphones on.  They make fun of me.
I cannot concentrate.  They make too much noise.  They play too much.  They do not want to learn.
They just play around.  They make fun of me for trying.
The teacher responded, she can use her headphones, she is doing her work, I see her.
That came for a student that “did not want to learn”.
Nothing has changed dad.  Instead, everything has gotten worse.

The kids, in December, and ongoing, all told me it has gotten worse.
I sent messages to them, the guardians, to warn them.
It seems like they do not have ears.
Are they deaf?
I have seen for myself what the kids complained about.  I know from first hand experience.
I watched.  I barked.  I stopped the fights.  I said something.  I did something.
Now they can breathe.  Now things are better.  The deny it happens still.  I know it happens, I watched, I barked, I separated, I protected.

She is dead.
Diamond is dead.
How does a good kid become a bad kid?
Survival instincts, change or die.

It is the “ghetto school” they say.  “I did not know it was a ghetto school”, she said.  I just thought about the programs they offered.  The music; The art; the dance.
A child mindful of success.
A child wanting to learn.
A child hoping for the best.
A child expecting the best.
A child injured unjustly.
A child picked on.

That is the city.
She said, “I regret taking you up on your offer”.  The offer was to move.

Two different cities.
I went to the other city.
Pristine Carpets.  Clean and fresh smelling air.  Immaculate buildings.  That is not ZMS.
A child there, bullies, not so, immediate suspension.  Not at ZMS.  The directives from central office seems to be “keep the status quo”, let the barbarians rules.

Cities cannot be run by children.  Cities cannot be zoos.  Cities need to be institutions of learning.
I do not send my children out to the streets and corners.  What parent would send their children there?

I hurt.  I cry inside.  I am in the zone of danger.  I am affected.  This is my child.
Do not awaken the hibernating bear again.  He may attack again.  It will be worse. He will defend his young.

Corazón quebrantado y el oso defensivo

lloraba, lloraba fuertemente.

Me quedo a mí mismo. Yo tenía mis auriculares. Se burlan de mí.
No me puedo concentrar. Hacen demasiado ruido. Ellos planean mucho. No quieren aprender.

He visto. Me ladró. Dejé las peleas. Me dice algo. Hice algo.

Ella dijo, "Lamento tomar tu oferta". La oferta fue a moverse.

Dos ciudades diferentes.
Fui a la otra ciudad.
Alfombras de Prístina. Olor limpio y fresco aire. Edificios inmaculado.

Me duele. Yo lloro por dentro. Estoy en la zona de peligro. Estoy afectado. Este es mi hijo.
No despertar al oso hibernando de nuevo. Él puede atacar de nuevo. Va a ser peor. Defenderá su joven.

There Once Was A Dog Named Buddy

There Once Was a Dog Named Buddy

The wisdom of the wise is turned backwards.
You cannot control your dog.
You cannot get your dog shots.
Your dog attacks other dogs.
Your dog motions to attack humans.

Then, you say, I am wrong.
I am wrong for intervening.
I am wrong for calling the law.

Your dog, that probably was high, attacks.

I am called a turd.
I am called for being in the wrong.

Not so, I am protecting mine.

A mi conocimiento, no fuimos allí a verlo.

The Two Most Profound Memories Regarding My Dad, Pablo Olavarria

It was rolling into the nursing home room, his room.
Pictures were everywhere, they were of all the family, they were of his grands.
He prided himself on his family.
He loved his children.  Especially his grand children.
Nurses and Aides all prided him alike.
This man with 5 sons.  He proudly proclaimed.
This man with all these wonderful grand children.  The walls filled with photos.

He was in their lives.  They knew him.  I did not even know him.
I did not have my father in my live, but they had grandpa.
Two people ensured that happened, maybe three.  I did the hard work to get him here.
I got him to North Carolina.  In New York, he could not be cared for, too many distractions and influences.

He, this old man, made sure his father died with dignity.  He put up with a whole lot to make sure he died at home.  No nursing home for my pops dad.  There is regret there.  From the “Saved, Sanctified, and Filled Person” whom entered the apartment where my dad housed his dad.  The regret is making fun of the blind and crippled old man before his death.  He was a mean spirited person, but even so, hate with hate is never justified.  The memory I live with is making fun of that old man before his death.  However, my dad had been abandoned with his father.  His took care of his dad till the end regardless.

And now the horror.  The Horror of Seeing my dad this past January.  The tomb of the unknown soldier.  The person without a headstone.  The inmate.  Just a number. Just a room.  No dignity.  No one comes to proclaim the father of five.  There are no pictures. It is all bland.  It is all aesthetic.

No, I do not want him to end like that.  Nobody knows him there.  No one.  No regular visits.  That is the motive for some restoration before death.  It is sad.  The last time I saw him. Just tubes and weakness in aesthetic walls.  No pictures at all.  He had a radio.  He had a TV.  He had Cable.  He had a phone.  He was taken out to eat.  He was taken out to visit.  That was here in NC.  None of all that in NY. Bland and medical and tubes that is all, no glory, no recognition.

Let it Go Syndrome.
Family members whom will not let go of the past, they will not care for him they will not help.   He is getting ready to cross a bridge, what is the sense in holding all that hate toward him inside of you.  In his lunacy, he does not hate you.  He sees his son.  1000 times he apologized.  Was he capable of meaning it, who cares?  The main point is why are you holding the hate.  His is about to cross the bridge.  Where he ends up is for God to decide, not you or me.  Let it go.

At the age of 18, you, here in the US, are deemed to be an adult.  Some at the age of 12 and 11, choose a different path.  Rom 1:30  Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 1Pe_5:1  The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: 1Ti_5:17  Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. The respect your elders axiom is gone.
It has been over 1 month, that the illness was reported to family.  To my knowledge, not a one went out there to see him.  No other son, no other grandchildren, no other friends, no one from North Carolina.  The expectation is if you know someone is very ill and close to death, they will certainly go see him.  Not so in this scenario.  Just wait him out.  Just wait until he dies.

That is the horror.  My moms put it best.  I have grandkids.  They have cars.  They have everything and nobody comes to see me.  They forgot about me. They threw me to the side.

This is the new generation.  This is forgetfulness.  The forgetfulness is shrouded in “let me ask my parents about what think about the move”.  Moving their grandpa to NC.  Wow.  It was unexpected.  It was expected.  It was in unison.  I guess even great old grandpa means nothing.

The request was just to make sure he could return.  They eat out all.  All go on lavish vacations.  They go on trips.  And, I am sure on Weekends, they go down to Glenwood Avenue.  Pay that Uber, pay for that dinner.  It is all good.  It is happiness.  It is being young.

But grandpa cannot return.  There is no money for that.  There is no time for that.  There is no unified showing of support.  Such is life.  That is life.

A 40% possibility of death in NY raised to 80%, but it is well.  God is good.
